How to be a great diplomat

    





           A diplomat is a senior official whose job is to represent one country while based abroad. This job can be split into three main roles involving political, commercial and consular interests. The political diplomat monitors political and economic developments in other countries as well as representing a country in government and the media. The Commercial diplomats promote trade and investment, while consular staff assist citizens from their country abroad and process visa applications. A diplomat is also an official whose job is to represent one country in another, and who usually works in an embassy. 




         Some people who work as diplomat need to learn some languages and understand about cultures where they lived. What’s major do you need to be a foreign diplomat? We could study Popular majors include international relations, business administration, law, journalism and economics. The department looks at a great work and life experiences and judges candidates on several dimensions. Therefore, The U.S. Department of State does not specify an educational level or foreign language skill for Foreign Service officers. Actually, I do not have an eager desire to continue to study in U.S because I really do not like American lifestyle and it never rains but it pours such criminals, drugs, and interfaith discrimination. Terrorist threats are also made me afraid to live there. Foreign Office Diplomats are appointed members of state, who help protect and promote a nation’s interests abroad. 


           The majority of Diplomats are posted to work overseas, and can often be found with a nation’s embassies abroad, playing an incredibly important role in maintaining their international relations. There are typical responsibilities such Reporting information which may affect national interests because it is absolutely useful to take one great location, then making a little business is also benefit for us. Updating travel advice and information, Overseeing embassy staff and managing their performance, implementing foreign policy changes are great exemplifications and responsibilities. What would other skills and experience help someone to do your job? , if we want to be a diplomat, we need to demonstrate the civil service competences such leadership, people management skills, the ability to work at pace and deliver to a high standard, communication skills, judgment, resilience. I think these are important, and it is a good sense of the political context both at home and abroad, but good sense of humour helps, too.
